When I first installed Borro's RTS, I was a little bit suspicious of the quality of the game. There was little to no coverage of the game, no hype behind it, I thought maybe I was downloading some sort of ZipBomb after seeing the words `BorrosRTS.Zip appear in my downloads folder. But as soon as I read the names Good Boy Owen Skeoch and Jenny Skeoch in the text file labelled credits attached to the game, I knew I was going to have an amazing experience with this hidden gem.
As soon as I booted up the game I was greeted by a menu screen that made cream leak through the head of my phallic boner. Everything from the location image from google maps to the text: Created by Chase Goodwin sent chills down my spine. Once I pressed play, I was greeted with a picture of my good boy, styling his traditional Borro's cap of honour. I then start scrolling down the difficulties, seeing familiar faces, then I come to the final difficulty... Chad Difficulty. This was for no pleb like me so I studied up. I started researching what it took to become a Borro's Employee, checked over the game mechanics, and finally... I applied for a position as cook. Unfortunately, Owen still has not been fired so there was no opening. Angered by this, I finally booted up a game of Owen Difficulty. Ironically, the employees in this gamemode were extremely fast, only needing 2 minutes to top a gluten free. While the game mechanics were a bit confusing to start out with, I got the hang of things and decided things were going smoothly. I then made the mistake of selecting Chad Difficulty. (THE HARDEST DIFFICULTY IN BORRO'S RTS) I thought maybe if I completed this difficulty.. Chad would hire me...
I thought to myself:
"This will be a breeze!"
Oh boi was i wrong.
This gamemode was one of the hardest in Borro's RTS. I think the most fitting description of this difficulty is Owen Mode because all the employees work at a fraction of their normal working speed. It took one employee nearly 15 (in game) minutes to top one gluten free! It was a Nightmare ! But after the 8PM closing bell rung. I somehow made 3848$, 848$ greater than my 3k$ quota.
This game is one of if not the most challenging RTS games I've played, and trust me.. I'm an RTS gamer. My final rating for this game is a solid 9.5/10. There are some minor improvements I would suggest like being able to track employees when they go off screen and assigning traits and names to each employee. Also forcing employees to go home would be a nice feature if they aren't fast enough to keep up with the rush, or if there's too many people on standby.
I love this game so much and the developers behind it are amazing. Thank you for creating this game.
